Souhegan Baseball players place flags at Veterans' headstones at Foundry Street cemetary in Amherst, NH. The Souhegan Baseball team opened the 2018 baseball season with Marie and Tom Grella throwing out the first pitches. Prior to the Con-Val game, each threw a pitch to Souhegan catcher Caelan Behn. Marie and Tom Grella have done many activities for the Amherst community … the baseball team takes part in two of the Grella run activities – Wreaths placed on the Veteran gravestones in Fall and Flags place on the Veterans gravestones before Memerial Day.

 

By John Habib - Union Leader, Leave it to Mike Ramshaw, president of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, to find a way to honor the only three baseball coaches of the 500-win club in Granite State high school history.

On Friday, Aug. 18 at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, the Fisher Cats will honor coaches Bill Dod of Souhegan of Amherst, Tom Underwood of Plymouth and the late Robert Burns of Kennett of North Conway, who will be represented by his wife, Linda. Click to John's Story!

Though 18 prospects have pledged to play for David Pierce’s Texas baseball team in the past three months, the commitment of 2018 third baseman Bryce Reagan is unique. The 16-year old switch-hitter is ranked as the 49th overall prospect in the class of 2018, the fourth best third baseman overall, and the best player in New Hampshire for his age.   450 Wins, Coach Underwood and Coach Dod

On Friday, April 17, 2009, Thomas Underwood (Plymouth High School) and Bill Dod (Souhegan High School) entered the 450 win club.  The Plymouth Bobcats defeated Laconia 13 to 2 and the Souhegan Sabers defeated Con-Val Regional 11-7.
